How long have you been a beekeeper?

I am a fifth generation beekeeper and have been actively beekeeping for 20 years.

Why did you become a beekeeper?

I’m really proud of the honey made in Michigan. We have a diversity of wildflowers, that some might call weeds, but that are great for bees.

What is your favorite thing about beekeeping?

It is a hobby for me and recently I have found great joy in honey competitions.

What are the floral sources for your bees?

Michigan has a diverse floral source for bees. My favorite is the basswood (Linden).
