Honeybee Safari

Take a walk through the wildlife preserve that is home to 45 honeybee research colonies where nearly two million honeybees reside. You’ll explore a live honeybee colony with Executive Director Carl Chesick and learn about the issues threatening pollinators.

Protective gear will be furnished–you can actually take a selfie holding a frame of 4,000 bees! Taste unique and exotic honey flavors from around the world. Enjoy a light lunch with soft drinks and water. As an attendee, you’ll go home with a jar of honey from a genuine beekeeper that you cannot find in the stores.
